The Roy J. Carver Biotechnology Center provides a state-of-the-art research infrastructure to investigators. Our portfolio includes the following core research facilities: Transgenic Mouse, Flow Cytometry, Metabolomics, Protein Sciences, Translational Resource Center, Functional Genomics, DNA Services, and High-Performance Biological Computing (HPCBio). In the past year, we provided genomic and proteomic research services to over 270 University of Illinois faculty research programs representing 6 college and 30 campus units, as well as principal investigators from 69 other universities (including Colorado State, Cornell, Harvard, Indiana, Michigan State, Montana State, North Carolina State, North Dakota State, Purdue, Stanford, Washington University, and the Universities of Arkansas, Houston, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Rochester, Wisconsin...).
During FY2015, our research labs supported 113 NIH, 69 Corporate, 69 private gift, 59 NSF, 50 USDA, 26 Federal Land grant, and 37 other Federal and State Sponsored research funding projects. In calendar year 2015, our work was acknowledged or staff recognized as co-author in over 158 peer-reviewed journal publications.
